Finals!

So finals are upon us! I took one today, but according to Brittni it doesn't really count because it was so easy, which it was. But the important thing was that I studied and learned a lot in preparation for it because I didn't know what was coming. hmm. Brittni's right, we really have had a whole lot of drama this year. It's been a little crazy, but we've still had tons of fun. Just tonight for example, I showed her my Russian Dance from the Nutcracker. It's a good time, remind me to show you sometime (wait, who am I talking to? no one reads this. oh well.)

Christmas is also coming so quickly. It is a week from tomorrow (well, today, technically. I really should go to bed) I can't really believe it. It doesn't really feel like Christmas because we're so busy and stuff, but I'm still excited to go home and stuff and have a break. That will be so nice. Just four more finals...

Finals are almost here

I can't believe that the semester has gone by so fast. It's so crazy that we're almost done with half of our sophomore year. We've been through a lot this semester. More drama than we've ever had before...
Accounting is definitely taking up much of my time these days. Jessica, on the other hand, is busy with choir and singing and music in general. Life's good...or it will be in the future. I'm glad that we could make it through so much as roommates. Jessica you're the best!

p.s. the concert was fantastic.

My Grand Return to the Roommate Blog

So basically I've been completely ignoring the blog lately. Sorry about that. I hate those cute couples around campus too. I just want to be in one of them someday but for now I'm focusing on school. Accounting takes all of my time and even more. It even took a couple nights of no sleep to get ready for this last test.

It all paid off though because I ended up with an 85%. That never happens...especially in that class. I just want to be done with three hour tests for a while, but guess what?!? It's finals in a little over a week. I can't believe it. This semester went by so fast!

The End

A Frustrated Thought

So I'm sitting in the library actually doing homework, and what happens? some guy comes up to the girl sitting next to me and starts talking to her and being all cute and supportive of her as she's trying to finish a paper. UGH! I want a boy to help me and encourage me to do my homework.

PS I think Brittni has fallen off the face of the planet.

Back in Provo

Well, as fun as Thanksgiving was, I'm actually kind of glad to be back. It's really cold here, but there were a lot of cousins in Oregon. I love them, but being back at home just wasn't much of a break.
I got to watch the last few minutes of the BYU-Utah game yesterday while at work. It was pretty incredible, and I understood most of what happened thanks to my experience with Seminary scripture football.

Brittni, come back!

OREGON!!!

I'm home in Oregon right now, I'm pretty excited. There's a few people that are visiting, and by a few I mean 10. It's kind of crazy. But I'm having a good time. I'm just about to buckle down and do my homework. I really really really don't want to, but it's for that class that I'm majoring in, so I guess I kind of have to.

I forgot how green Oregon is! I love it!
I also forgot how funny hippies are, I love them too, just a little bit.
I also forgot how amazing no sales tax is - yippee!
I also forgot what it feels like to get lost because all the streets are so winding and you have no idea where you are until you pop out of the trees (emphasis on trees) at a recognizable intersection. That's just fun.
I forgot how I really like driving.
I forgot how good pistachios are - especially the ones from Trader Joe's that are already shelled, roasted and salted. yummy!

Ok, now I'll go do my homework.

ugh

Brittni, I know I work a lot and I really do hate it. I was gone Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8-9 in the morning until 10-11 or even 12 last night. It's stupid. I'm trying to figure out a way to work this all out.

So I'm sitting here in the library, waiting for the textbook for my class comes back to the Music and Dance Library so I can check it out. This is so stupid. I need the textbook to take my open book test online which is due tonight at midnight, AND I'm going to the temple tonight, which I'm really excited about but that means I have to be done by 4 so I can go home and get ready. ugh. Whoever has it has had it for a long time. I'm almost ready to just guess on the ones I was going to look up. UGH!

A typical night...

Jessica is working, yet again. It seems like all she does is work, work, work and that makes me sad because I never get to see her anymore. I am going to divine comedy tonight with Ian and then hopefully playing guitar hero with Becky if I have time when we get back.

Jessica--in response to your last comment about me coming to our ward, I'll think about it, but I'm not sure how much I'll be coming in the near future.

Well that's enough for tonight. The End.

I have not forgotten...

I just like to write stuff on Sunday. That seems to be the only time I have time.

I've been working a lot lately - Wednesday, Thursday and Friday I had banquets with catering, and Thursday and Friday I started my new job with Sister Woodger. It's pretty fun, and so much less demanding than catering.

Saturday I went on a date with Patrick from our ward to Belshazzar's Feast. It was a choir and orchestra performance - it was so cool and just incredible that everyone could sing and play that loud and good for that long (Belshazzar's Feast is one song that is about 40 minutes long). Then we went back to his apartment with the other couple that was with us and we made hot chocolate and played a card game called scum. I don't think I had ever played it before, but I ended up doing really well - it is purely a game of luck.

Today I made cookies and brought them around to a couple apartments and got to know some people a little better. That was fun.

Church was good today - Brittni, you really should come to our ward sometime. I know you go to your home ward and stuff, but you really should come. You are missed.

I'm trying to think of something cool that I've been thinking about or something, but I just don't have very good thoughts or things that I've been wondering about. I guess I don't think enough. I'll work on that.

What happened to Jessica?

Okay, so nothing really happened to Jessica, but she seems to have forgotten that this blog even exists...

How sad. :(

the dilemma has been solved...

kinda

I still had to go to work, but it wasn't too bad once I got up to campus. Walking around at 8:00 at night is no fun and just plain scary. I made some new friends though and got very wet.

but the dilemma of when to watch Transformers was solved Friday night. We went bowling with a couple people from our ward and afterwards went back to their apartment and watched Transformers. It was overall a pretty good movie, and actually, I think I liked it better this way. Funny how things like that happen.

PS Good news! Today is stake conference so I'm not missing church right now, it doesn't start until 2! How cool is that!

PPS Brittni, come home! It was a little scary last night in the dark.

Date or no date? That is the question...

So we finally get around to planning something for Saturday night and what happens? Jessica gets scheduled for work. Since no one will call her back, our plans might be shattered. Sad day :( We'll have to find a time when we can watch Transformers, but we had plans with a couple of guys. That doesn't happen everyday.

I'll keep you updated on the outcome of this dilemma as soon as I know the details...

Best week ever?

Normally our weeks consist of homework, school, and more school. Well we've had a lot going on including tests and homework, but on top of that we have also done a lot this week.

Monday - went to the library and found the best, most secret corner ever.
Tuesday - had a surprise visit from Chelsey.
Wednesday - had Wendy's and watched Clue. It was some quality roommate bonding time.
Thursday - went to the Opera. I don't really like operas, but it's something to do and it counts as a concert report for music.
Friday - do whatever the heck we want to!
Saturday - we have a double date!!! Dinner and a movie (Transformers to be exact).
Sunday - Stake Conference. We don't have to wake up early. :)

Could life get any better? I submit that it cannot.

A blast from the past

Last night we listened to Craig's cd and remembered all the good times we had last year. This was when we realized that we needed to start living in the here and now. It's too sad to think about all the guy who are gone for two years. Don't get me wrong, we're happy that they made the choice to serve missions, but two years is a long time.

We also saw Erin and Kallene at the grocery store. I love our backdoor neighbors! We couldn't have asked for better neighbors.

Maybe it's about time to get out and meet new people, so that we don't have to live in the past any longer...

day two of the blog

well, today was a pretty good day for me, one of my classes and got canceled - that was really exciting. Brittni and I found a really cool spot in the library. We studied there for while - it's our secret corner and don't ask where it is because we won't tell you.

the end for now, I can't think of anything else to say.

So how's life?

thanks for asking, life is going pretty well. School is...school. I'm doing alright, but Brittni has a lot of homework. She's studying, well supposed to be studying right now. We're just talking. That seems to happen a lot.

Church was really good today. It was ward conference and our stake president (who looks so muh like Dallin H Oaks) is really really cool. He even sang with the choir for our special musical number because he loves to sing and he said he likes to see our faces when we sing and he couldn't from where he was sitting on the stand. I like him a lot. I really like this ward. It feels so much more like a real ward. Last year it seemed like we were a bunch of kids playing grown up and the adult leaders seemed to distant, especially the stake leaders - we didn't know them at all. This year is a lot better, I think.

No, Brittni, this is not a novel.

This is our first post!

So, this is kind of exciting, we're writing our very own blog!

More to come soon, hopefully...
